Mr. Shane Reid, P.E. is responsible for the day to day business operations and leadership of the firm. Shane plays a lead role in operations, business development, sales and marketing, contract negotiation, design build strategies, talent acquisition and project management. His focus since joining the firm in 2007 has been to strengthen existing business relationships, pioneer new markets, build relationships with new clients and implement new business strategies and systems. Shane’s leadership and passion for design build delivery has allowed REC to be an elite design build engineering firm with over 20 design build projects completed since 2008. Shane has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and has over 17 years of experience in managing design build, land development, water/sewer infrastructure and wastewater treatment projects. Shane has a passion for business and works hard to ensure the future success of the firm.
One of Shane’s favorite endeavors was leading a Design Build team that won a $20 million-dollar Public Private Partnership (PPEA) Wastewater Treatment Project in Caroline County, VA that ultimately gave the rural community additional treatment capacity of 1.5 MGD while saving the Utility over $11 million in capital costs.
